Religious Service

In the Qing Ming Festival my mum and me went to the Ji Ming Temple. Ji Ming Temple is near the Beijing East Road. We went to there in the morning. We saw many people do the morning exercise. In there, many people worship Buddha and offer sacrifices. I don't believe Buddhism. My mum and me went to there just want to have that feeling.



Ji Ming Temple had a lot of people. Most of people were elder. They all want to worship Buddha. They believe that can bring lucky and if you do some wrong things, you can ask for it to forgive them. This their religion. This religion is famous in Asia. I want to learn about this religion. I think it is not suitable for me. I don't believe any religion. I think only depend ourselves just can successful. I think this is not very interesting. May be I don't like it. That place was a very serious place. Many monkhood in the temple. Lots of people burn incense. They said their miss for their family members who passed away, and a few of people were sortilege. This is interesting. My mum felt boring. In the noon, some people ate the vegetarian food in the temple. I think it is not very delicious. They all bring a sincere heart to there.

Though it is had a little boring, I think it let me to know something about the Buddhism. Everyone have different belief. This is a good place to bailment our blessing and the hope for the anon.

Public Events

In the holiday, my mum 's unit organized all the staffs and their family members watch the movie 《Nanjing! Nanjing!》(The city of life and death). It celebrating Nanjing liberate for 60 years and carry forward the spirit of patriotism.

My mum's unit and me in the 5.1 went to the cinema. The cinema in the Xin Jiekou. I think this movie can gave us a strong feeling and we should accept this education. This movie told us in 1949, Japanese massacre in Nanjing. They killed 300000 people. This is the discreditable history. It let us to saw at that time, the incapable of China and Japanese unfeeling.

I like this movie. I think this is an excellent and indifferent movie. It let us to know the history about Nanjing. We saw the barbarity of Japanese. It is important for us to understand our country. This painful was always in Chinese heart. Japanese were no humanism. We felt uncomfortable. I think we should defeat the difficulty. Japan invades us because at that time, our country not very strong.

Nowadays, we should protect our territory and no longer let other country occupy us. We must patriotic and have the heart of honour or disgrace. This history will go over, our country will be stronger and stronger. We need increase our power to let country become better and better. We can't forget this history. It can stimulate our country development.

Performance--SJ

I looked Super Junior vocal concert in the 2009.1.17. My friend and me went to it. We attend at 7:00. It was many people to saw it.

This group is famous in all the Asia. Many people like it. They from Korea. I like them very much. The place is near the He Xi. That group have 13 people, they were different. I like the concert very much. The arena is very big. I can saw it clearly. I like their music. They dancing very good. I think this is excited for us. Most of people were girls. They were very happy.

SJ show us a different group. They have different characteristic and different ability. They helped each other and they work very hard.

I think we do everything should try our best, we need to put a lot of efforts on it. This group let me to know if we want to successful, we must try our best. This is an excellent concert. They cooperate very good. In the concert, they think about others, they all want to shoe their best. They treat fans very friendly. They were kind for us. I think in our life, we should think about and help others. We should generous and patient for other people. It is important for us to know how to treat another person. I learn a lot from this group. We can see their kind and efforts. I believe they can be better and better.

Volunteer

i). I helped Ms.Hadley for the GCA Third Annual Fashion Show. I was a stage backdrop artist. We painted a wonderful backdrop. In that night, many students were excited. There were lots of student models and teacher models. They were very beautiful. We should painted the letters for the show. Ms.Hadley gave us a big black curtain. We need to fixup the letters. This is the difficult work. Each letter was big. First, we think to use the double side tape, but it is not can mucosity it. We asked for teacher. Ms.Hadley gave us staplers. We use the staplers to fixup the letters. The curtain was so big, wu need to stand on it to staple. Though it is hard, however, we were very happy. It increase our skill and communication. I think this is a good chance for us to do something for school. I felt happy. That fashion of that night were successful. We are excited about this.


ii). Last mounth, we went to the Beijing East Road school to taught the English for the grade five students. I felt happy to taught this children. They were funny and lovely. However, they work hard and clever. I taught two girls in the class. They listen to me carefully and read very good. They like reading. One of this told me, she studying was excellent. Though sometimes they felt a little boring, they studyhard. It just one houe,I also study a lot of things. When we talk with others, we should to respect another person. No matter he says whether correct, we should listen conscientionsly. This students were happy and optimism. I think this chance can gave us a new insight to treat our life. When we meet troubles in the life, we should have confidence to defeat it. This volunteer work let us with many little students.　Ｗe felt excited and interesting.

iii). In the spare time, I worked for the Nanjing HongQiao Hotel on March 12 until April 19. I helped them to clean and reception. I felt very hard and tired. This is the tough work. We need to cooperation. This hotel have many people everyday.Each work must be carefully. Cleaning is very tired. I helped them to clean the environment. I know their tired. Recepitionist in here were smile to other people. This can exercise my speaking. Let me know how to communicate with others. This is the public environment and we can met many strangers. This volunteer work made me more confident and sometimes we need think all-round for other people. It is made me more active and patient. This is a good job. It can increase my skill and view. I felt comfortable in the hotel.

I think volunteer work is help us to know more in the society. We should need more time to work it. This can increase our condition. We should know this is important for us to do the volunteer work and help other people in everywhere.

Nanjing Museum

On the Mar.8 my classmates and I went to the Nanjing Museum. It is located in the Zhongshan East Road.We went to there took the taxi. We attend it at 9:30.I think as Chinese we should learn about the culture of Nanjing. Nanjing of the six dynasties. It had a very long history.



We visited the most interesting artworks is the Chinese Earthen Ware. Earthen wares refers to the hand-made articles for daily use while art earthen wares are those that combine practical use with aesthetic delight. They are the best among earthen products with high aesthetic value.They become an important part of ancient Chinese art.I like it very much. This made me to know the culture of Nanjing. It is different from other country. It shows the Chinese culture. We also visited the Fabric and Embroldery Hall. This is the value work holding the important status in the Chinese art history. The Ancient Chinese Jade shows us many different jades. Chinese jade ware is the essence of our national culture. It has witnessed the thousands of years of Chinese culture development. We visited the Ming and Qing Porcelain and Ancient Bronze. The Ming and Qing Porcelain is one of the greatest inventions of China, an important contribution China people have made to world civilization.

We like it very much. I think it is unforgettable for us. I want to have more chance to visited like this museum.

Cultural Awareness

On Mar.5 , my friends and I went to the 1912 . It is in the Taiping North Road. We ate the Thailand food.We by the bus and attend it in the 7:30. We think it is similar with our country. Thailand is located in the Asia. We think we can like it.

I think this restaurant is good. It is a very beautiful place. The tea of Thailand is different from our China tea. It have the different smell and the waiter gave us six cups of tea. She told us it is the very famous tea in Thailand. The waiter also gave us the chips was made by shrimp. I think it is just so-so. However, my friends like it very much. The environment of this place is very nice and clean. The atmosphere is fresh. There were many people went to there to ate the Thailand food. The most people of there were Asian. They think it is suitable for their taste. We think it is enough good. The service is excellent. The waitress were patient and kind. They generous for everyone.

There were many people in the 1912 . That place is the very famous place in Nanjing. I know many people always went to there. I think Thailand food is delicious. They also use the chopsticks and the eating habits most like us.

My friends and I like it very much. I think it is suitable for everyone. Many people would like it.

Physical Activity

I learned the billiards in the last term. I think it is very interesting. I tried my best to learn it.I think I play was not very good.

The game of billiards is not difficult to understand and with practice, we can win the first match within a few hours. There are different types of billiards games. however, there are simple ways to learn each one so we can join in while we are at the billiards hall. we need advance training if we want to play like a pro player and once we have all the skills.

I learned basic knowledge in the few weeks and how to play it. I played it in the recreation. We rack the balls. All balls (except the white cue ball) start in the rack.In billiards, cue balls are the balls that a player strikes with the cue stick. For almost all pool games, I place the eight ball in the middle, the one ball on top and alternate stripes and solids around the rack. We decide who breaks. Flip a coin, rock, paper, scissors, or we can each try to hit a ball as close to the railing as you can, and the closest breaks.Then break the rack. Whichever you make are the types of balls you will be trying to sink for the rest of the game. When we do not make any, our opponent can shoot at any stripe or solid. When we make one of each, we can choose. Shoot as long as we keep sinking our balls. It is not our opponent’s turn until we miss a shot. Finally, alternate turns with partner. When we are on a team, we can not shoot until we are partner has taken a turn. My classmates and I go to practise several times.
I think concentration is very important and we should keep it. We should patient and have observation. Playing billiards exercise my patience and willpower, let me keep trying. I know we should never give up to do anything. Playing billiards have some rules. First, don't hit the white cue ball into a pocket. This is called a scratch, and we will lose our turn. The other team gets a free shot from the area where the cue ball was placed for the break.Second, pool is a game of finesse. The biggest mistake rookie players make is striking the ball too firmly. Aim, and only hit the cue ball as hard as we need to.Playing billiards made my body healthy and let me to learned a lot. I know we should try our best to do everything and constantly exercise ourselves.

I think everyone can play billiards. My personal fitness goals is to exercise myself.Billiards is a game that increases eye-hand coordination, focus and concentration, and even practical application of physics and geometry.

I want to have more chance to learn it.

School Club

Last term I joined the piano club. The piano is a musical instrument played by means of a keyboard that produces sound by striking steel strings with felt covered hammers. The hammers immediately rebound, allowing the strings to continue vibrating at their resonant frequency.These vibrations are transmitted through a bridge to a soundboard that couples the acoustic energy to the air so that it can be heard as sound.The piano is widely used in Western music for solo performance, ensemble use, chamber music, and accompaniment.
GCA is a place that create amazing. I never thought that I can join a club during my high school life, but here at GCA, I made it. Piano club gave me this exciting experience, which I can enjoy my life.I love piano, especially listening. Piano is king of all the musical instruments, it represents a kind of power. Although I am a girl, but I still enjoy this feeling. At first class, one of the piano club leaders Mark from Grade 11 show us a strong way of piano life. He played the famous pianist’s song “Destiny”. I was not only be charmed by this song, but also Mark’s agility hand, he showed his magnetism of playing the piano. Another leader of our piano club Raymond also exhibited his understanding of piano. Not like Mark that full of passion, he is quite and peaceful. He likes country music. So he act as an elegant gentleman, played a sadness love song. On the following days, these two responsible club leaders taught a lot about piano and piano songs.We learned piano every noon. Our leaders are very patient.They taught us very hard. We learned about the music and the skill of piano.We learned how to play the piano. We should playing in time, to the rhythm and repeat the bass pattern at least 20 times. It can made us to played better and better. Once you can maintain a consistent pattern in your left hand, try to play a simple melody in your right hand.

I think the clubs strenths are the leaders are very excellent. We learning very hard.
This club is good. I think we can learn a lot of skill about the piano.The weaknesses of the clubs are sometimes we cannot practise regularly and it not have many people. I think if we have more people we can have greater achievements. I hope this club become better and better.

We learned about the piano in the club. The school organized many clubs can change our communication and our talent. It can made us communicate with each other more spontaneousness. After school clubs - or programs as they are better known - are designed to help develop a child's talent or skill. These clubs are of a recreational and educational nature. They have been created to help keep children active and interested.One of the most crucial advantages of a good after school club is that it broadens a child's topic of interest. They are introduced to new subjects that can be both interesting and somewhat challenging. When we learns a new skill or masters an art, their self esteem grows. This allows them to be introduced to new career options. If we attends a music class they may like it so much that they choose to become a classical musician later in life.Another great advantage to after school clubs is socialization. We are able to share their interests with other classmates and make new friends. Both acting and soccer classes can prove to be fun. These clubs will teach children to perform and play at matches. Both performing on stage and playing at a match can prove to be a very good experience. To me, I learned lots of about piano and I meet some friends. It made me more actively. I really cherish this chance. I want to do it well.I learned a lot, and it will be improved in the rest of my life.
